This book met all my expectations and then some.

Sally adores her older sister Kathy. They are about as different as two sisters can be, and yet they managed to do quite well in their shared bedroom. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter which I write as a concerned citizen of Washington State. As you are aware, Washington State is in the process of approving a new use for a pesticide in the neonicotinoid family, imidacloprid, to be used on shellfish beds in Willapa bay in WA. I want to let you know that I appreciate the scope of the economy which is being impacted by the prohibition of Carbaryl. The shellfish farmers are an essential part of our team here in Washington and they must continue to thrive. The cost of thriving though should not be at the expense of endangering our honey bees and any other pollinators or the vitality of the farming industries that rely on THEM. Pollinators drive the life cycle of multitudes of crops, including cranberries, a nearby economic staple of the Willapa Bay/ Southwestern WA region. The species of cranberries we grow here in WA happen to rely for their pollination in part from honey bees. There is mounting evidence, which the European Union acted on last year which connects neonicotinoids like imidacloprid to colony collapse disorder in honey bees. The recent disappearance of honey bee colonies I believe should be taken seriously for the sake of our local food supply security. I am writing to ask you to include a survey of honey bees and other flying insect pollinators in the nearby area of these shellfish beds in your EIS, so that we can better know the risks we may be waging upon the of approval of Imidacloprid for shellfish bed use.
